1 Day – Introduction to Alcohol Ink With Patti Fernie

WKSPF20251115  |  20 Spots Available  |  $60 + Tax

Discover the Vibrant World of Alcohol Inks and Take Home Original Art!

In this class, you’ll learn about the basics of alcohol ink, its properties and how to use this interesting medium to create your own pieces. I’ll talk about surfaces to use on and show a good sampling of my work, from coasters to large gallery-sized paintings.

I’ll demonstrate a variety of tools and techniques to create different visual effects and textures. I’ll also walk you through how to do my signature abstract landscape style – skies, ground, working in layers, etc and demo how to create ink flowers.

All supplies are included—just bring your creativity and curiosity! Each participant will leave with a tile work and several Yupo paper paintings in a variety of sizes, ready for framing.

Don’t miss out on this fun and inspiring class. Sign up today!

*Special offer: All workshop participants will receive a coupon for 30% off regular-priced items on their next purchase.

About the instructor:

Influenced by her love of texture, Patti creates fine art mixed media paintings, whimsical canvases, and alcohol ink paintings. Her work is unique, incorporating many layers to create visual interest in her art.

Iconic images, primarily lake, prairie, and nature-based serve as inspiration for her work. She refers to her alcohol ink work as abstract landscapes, often likening them to the sedimentary layers of the earth and the ocean.

A high school art teacher for 25 years, Patti began selling her work under the Lake Gal Artworks name in 2015.
