Economical, non-yellowing gesso made with 100% acrylic polymer emulsion. The binder-to-pigment ratio is balanced for optimum flexibility of the paint film. Here are 3 simple tests to find out if YOUR gesso is of professional quality:
Pour a 4" thick pool of gesso on a disposable paper palette. Let it dry for 1 week. Peel off the gesso. Flex to look for cracks.
Paint several coats of gesso on a sheet of watercolor paper and let it dry for a few days. Pour linseed on the coated surface to see if it bleeds through.
Coat a canvas with gesso. Let it dry for a few days. Rub with a dark wet cloth to see if gesso has become permanent. Dark cloth should not show any white residue
