Let’s Explore the World of Acrylic Painting!
Join us for this comprehensive introduction to acrylic painting. This course covers paint handling, tonal painting and blending, colour theory and colour mixing, composition, the characteristics of acrylic paints and mediums, lighting, as well as content and narrative.
Through guided exercises, you’ll explore studies in still life, landscape, and more. Each class includes 45 minutes of lecture followed by two hours of hands-on painting, where you’ll create a featured work of the day.

• Primary colours: Ultra Marine Blue, Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Red, and Mars Black & Titanium White

About the instructor:
Karen Wokes has been involved with many art organizations in Winnipeg over the years. She teaches art in her home studio and several venues throughout the city. Karen has a vision to create space for individuals and groups to find their creativity together in a fun and easy environment.
